On our recent visit to two local college basketball practices, we noticed some great qualities to have at practice.
Play strong and physical the entire practice
Speak constantly on and off the court to our teammates
There should be no walking between the stop and start of drills
Players do not talk back to coaches
Practice should have a high intesity in every drill
Help the coaches coach by being ready to practice and ready to listen
Limit dribbling on offense and look to rotate the ball
Play under control when facing defensive pressure
Be consistently aggressive and active on the offensive and defensive boards
Watch game film as often as possible
Always start a shooting session with form work.
Thank you to both Georgia State and Georgia Tech basketball for having us as guests of your practices!
